Weekend Pick
Sat, Jul 4 · 6:00 PM
Frisco Freedom Fest
Frisco Freedom Fest is my top pick for the Fourth of July weekend, and honestly it is one of those evenings that reminds me why I love living in this city so much. The patriotic block party at Riders Field on RoughRiders Trail runs from 5 to 10 p.m. with live music, a classic car show, Hometown Heroes letters, and plenty of food and drinks for the whole family. Fireworks light up the sky around 10 p.m. following the RoughRiders game, making for a truly magical end to Independence Day. If you want even more fun, the Party in the USA 5K kicks things off at 8 a.m. at Harold Bacchus Community Park, and a Cornhole Tournament at Kaleidoscope Park starts at 1 p.m.
